Currently, engaged in a transformative global health project in collaboration with Operation Rainbow and Global Health Partners (GHP). This passionate effort focuses on shipping vital medical supplies to Latin America and the Caribbean. Hospitals' viable medical supplies, otherwise disposed of, are collected and packed into shipping containers destined for the most affected regions. This initiative is creating a remarkable impact, with Global Health Partners providing full funding for the shipment of supplies. Working alongside the esteemed Dr. Errol Lobo, former anesthesiologist at UCSF and now a professor of global health at the University of New Mexico, as well as the dedicated Bob Schwartz, VP of Global Health Partners, a dynamic team is assembled to tackle severe health disparities in Latin America. The commitment and enthusiasm drive this project forward, bringing hope and improved healthcare to those in need.
Founded in 2021 the goal for Pan-American Medical Association (PAMA) was to enhance healthcare across the Americas by developing innovative medical solutions and fostering collaborative efforts with physicians. Inspired by experiences, such as witnessing the 2007 earthquake in Lima, Peru, I was driven by a passion for health, dignity, and justice. I focused on improving health infrastructure, supporting medical professionals, and fostering community well-being. Through extensive groundwork and hands-on involvement, I was able to address community-specific health needs and implement effective health interventions. Despite the challenges, the resilience and solidarity of the communities I worked with were profoundly motivating. The initiative's success in improving health infrastructure, empowering medical professionals, and raising health awareness has laid a strong foundation for ongoing and future public health efforts across the Americas. The partnerships and lessons learned will continue to influence and enhance my mission of creating lasting, positive impacts on communities. Click here for more.
