Gained daily clinical experience working in various wards and subspecialties (General Pediatrics, Otorhinolaryngology, Urology) with pediatric patients in a hospital setting in Alta Havana, Boyeros, Havana. Responsibilities included patient history taking, medical interviews, charting, physical exam skills, differential diagnosis, and on-call shifts every 5 days (guardias) during the General Pediatrics rotation. Focused on technical abilities such as interpreting normal laboratory values. Additionally, participated in a Student Anesthesiology Program, providing direct experience with patients in the operating room.

1.Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) 2008-2015
-Critical Care Technician - EMT
As a Critical Care Emergency Medical Technician at Rural/Metro Ambulance, responsible for providing critical care services to patients in the Snohomish, King, and Pierce County operations in Washington State. Collaborated with Registered Nurses to deliver appropriate care during inter-facility transports and 911 emergencies. Expertise in electrocardiography allowed for the initiation of 4-lead or 12-lead EKGs and setup of pumps and ventilators, enabling the Registered Nurse to concentrate on the patient's needs. Received extensive training in Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), airway management, and intravenous monitoring, among other crucial skills.

Responsible for providing prompt and effective emergency medical care to patients in need. Equipped with the skills necessary to assess patients through primary care assessment and take necessary actions to maintain their airway and breathing. Trained to follow protocols based on the specific situation, and utilized proper lifting techniques to safely transport patients to the vehicle. With the use of an EKG monitor, able to accurately monitor heart rhythms. Placing a strong emphasis on following proper PPE protocols and ensuring that patient consent is obtained before beginning any medical procedures.

As a Medical Assistant at High Desert Medical Group, was selected to triage patients in Urgent Care, assessing their level of illness and performing rapid patient assessments to determine the cause of their symptoms. Responsible for patient admissions, ensuring the privacy and security of patient information, and working closely with other staff members to ensure proper patient care and address medical necessity issues. Additionally, reviewed medical documentation and consulted with healthcare providers when necessary to ensure the best possible care for patients. A notable contribution involved taking control of the entire fast track unit as a volunteer nurse and handling minor medical procedures, such as respiratory treatments.
